This list also has an absurd amount of recency bias

.
Is that recency bias? Or just people make more money now?
Wonder what it would look like if adjusted for inflation
For example: Jack Nicklaus finished his career $9.1m in winnings

ETA: misread this wrong

His $9.1 million — which counts 73 PGA Tour victories, 10 PGA Tour Champions events and another 20 unsanctioned events — doesn’t even crack the top-100 all-time money-winners.

This graphic is pretty eye-opening. Rory gets all of the press but DJ has been much more consistent.

Also, the fact that Tiger is tied for the most wins in that period despite the personal turmoil and injuries is incredible. He’s had a hall of fame career since the Thanksgiving 2009 incident

Rory has been playing half of each season on the European Tour

DJ has 28 PGA + European Tour wins
Rory has 32 PGA + European Tour wins

Good point. Their PGA Tour starts are pretty similar though. I think DJ averaged maybe 2 or 3 more starts per year.

Funny how a guy with a screen name like yours would come up with a stat like this. Jack is overall better though.

Well if you are going to make a post do it right. But then you did an edit and still got it wrong.

I posted the link broChacho
They could only trace back $9.1million in wins based on the amount they provided
They can’t trace back that far because they couldn’t find what winners made for older events

That’s like saying Steve Kerr is better than Steph Curry just because he has more rings.

Tiger played the best golf ever played. Period.

You could argue he’s been more consistent, but much more consistent is a stretch.

Rory also didn’t really start playing on the PGA Tour until 2010 so wins per year is pretty similar.

On the course, Spieth has 1,456 times the personality as DJ

The personality of home-schooled kid on adderal does nothing for me, but to each his own tho.

DJ is a simpleton but in fairness to him, he's got to focus on course management with his goofy brother on the bag. He obvious prefers this set up, but he does need to be locked in.

DJ, Rory, Spieth - all of these guys are boring and give the most basic canned interview imaginable. Golf needs more dynamic personalities, but it seems like most of the elite players are nice-guy/stoic robots.

For A stretch.. YES...… But Jack WON 18 majors and finished 2nd 19 times...… Golf is A game of YOU against the elements and the course... What Jack Did will NEVER be matched...………….

Have you ever listened to Rory? Or read an interview with him. He’s not robotic at all. Basically everything he does is good (outside of his podcast with Carson Daly).

Byron Nelson Award 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009

Woods scoring average in 2000 is the lowest in PGA Tour history, both adjusted, 67.79, and unadjusted, 68.17.[1]
Woods has the lowest career scoring average in PGA Tour history.

Woods has amassed the most career earnings of any player in PGA Tour history (even after inflation is considered).

Woods is one of five players (along with Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus) to have won all four professional major championships in his career, known as the Career Grand Slam, and was the youngest to do so.

Woods is the only player to have won all four professional major championships in a row, accomplishing the feat in the 2000–2001 seasons. This feat became known as the "Tiger Slam".

Woods set the all-time PGA Tour record for most consecutive cuts made, with 142. The streak started in 1998, he set the record at the 2003 Tour Championship with 114 (passing Byron Nelson's previous record of 113 and Jack Nicklaus at 105) and extended this mark to 142 before it ended on May 13, 2005 at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship. Many consider this to be one of the most remarkable golf accomplishments of all time, given the margin by which he broke the old record and given that during the streak, the next longest streak by any other player was usually only in the 10s or 20s.

Woods has won a record 22.8% (82 out of 359) of his professional starts on the PGA Tour

Woods is the only golfer to have won the U.S. Amateur three consecutive times (1994–1996).

Whatever the case is, it’s a dumb list to use when talking about people’s place in history. Rory Sabbatini is 26th all time in Career Earnings.

It's the part that jumped out the most in that graphic.
