Funny thing he was having a pretty good couple of year stretch until August of last year...then he just lost it.

I can’t believe how fast Votto has fallen of the cliff.

He's having a relatively fast start
He's also going to be 37

I get he is getting up in age.
He went from vying for the triple crown to b2b the worst 2 seasons of his career by far.
My buddy and I were discussing who fell faster, Votto or Miggy.

It happens man, people tend to remember the exceptions, not the rules.
Chipper set his career highs in all 3 triple slash categories in 2008 at 36, 176 OPS+, the next year his OPS+ was 117 and never went higher than 124. Votto went from 167 to 126. Now last year was just terrible, I think he'll rebound to the 120-130 area this year.

Two years ago, he put up a .417 OBP and was a top five 1B in fWAR. Not bad for a 35 year old. Last year was his only really mediocre year.

Are we off to our 3rd consecutive 1-8 start? I was so excited we finally had MLB back, especially with all the buzz around the Reds. I should've known better. I guess I'm being punished for getting 3 World Series Championships in my first 18 years, but like a bad drug I always come back for more. Go Reds. 1-59!

what if i told you the guy pitching for the reds was better than kyle hendricks?

Congrats to Gray on his no hitter.

I told my son before the lineups came out this exact lineup is what we should run out everyday, except swap Moose and Castellanos against lefty's and sub Aquino for Winker against lefty's. Akiyama should bat lead off every game. No more Phillip Ervin leading off please.
