DRT 04.27.10: Reds Travel to Houston

After a lousy weekend that resulted in Dusty Baker refusing to talk to the media for the first time in his managerial career, the Reds fly to Houston to take on the surging Astros. Aaron Harang will get yet another start, and he might wanna make the most of this one. Rumors are flying around that Harang's days as a starter (and maybe even a Red) are about to come to an end. I don't think they can trade him at this point with that huge salary he's toting around, so maybe they can Zambrano him and see if it helps.
Bud Norris will be pitching for Houston, and victory by the Astros today will probably result in several "Astros are just one or two guys away from being a World Series Contender" threads. Let's hope to frick that doesn't happen.
Standings Update:
1. St. Louis (12-7)
2. Chicago (10-10)
3. Milwaukee (9-10)
4. Houston (8-10)
5. Cincinnati (8-11)
6. Pittsburgh (7-12)

I much prefer the alternative Reddman meltdown threads myself

If I would have been by a computer on Saturday, I probably would have gotten banned.

Who cares?
I think it is fairly obvious that fans of the Astros and Reds care just a FYI.

It looks like I'll get to see Cueto and Bailey pitch while I'm in St. Louis this weekend.

Not I.
We're not contenders, but I will admit that they're better than I originally had complained about. I find that there's no reason to take Keppenger out of the lineup and he's turning out to be a decent 2 hole hitter.
Lee still sucks my balls.
The pitching has turned out way better than I thought. Lyons-Lindstrom tandem has turned out decent too.
Keep the hitting consistent and they can do some damage. I like that 8+ ERA Harang is bringing in tonight. But with Houston and the way they swing the bat, he can come in and pitch a gem.

Put your hands together for The Puma
Put your hands together you and me

so maybe they can Zambrano him and see if it helps.
If that happens, we'll see 3 teams in the NL Central (Mil, Cin, and Chc) sending roughly $45 million to the pen.

8-10, reds come in we'll be 11-10. I like it.

The Reds get Paulino tomorrow vs. Leake. I doubt it's going to be a pitchers dual.
Then Roy O. pitches vs the Reds on Thursday. I hit better vs. Roy O. than the Reds do.
2 out of 3.

The Reds were 3-1 in games that Oswalt pitched against them last year. They didn't exactly whip his arse though.

That doesn't necessarily erase the years before that though.
