Fight! Looks like Brooks “accidentally” hit Mitchell in the nuts and then Mitchell went ape shite.

I've long said that Brooks is the prototypical fake tough guy and boy did last night prove that to be correct.

Donovan Mitchell, not exactly known as a dude with a tough guy rep, after taking the intentional nut shot, threw a ball at Brooks, got up walked towards Brooks and shoved him, and then threw Brooks to the ground.

Brooks couldn't handle getting tossed around like a rag doll by Donovan freaking Mitchell, but we're supposed to believe he's a tough guy?

The funny thing is, you usually know who NBA players respect as true tough guys by how they react to those players. Guys may have a word or 2 with a Steven Adams or James Johnson, but truly respected tough guys, every other player just won't go at them.

Not only does this show Brooks isn't a tough guy, it shows he has zero respect as a tough guy, which may even be just as bad.

Should be reviewable and called a flagrant 1.

Flagrant 2 and a 10 game suspension for a college player or a $250K fine for an NBA player. You want this shite to stop? Hit them in the wallet. That's the language they'll understand far more than a one game suspension/slap on the wrist.

And people actually wonder why today's NBA isn't more physical.

Did you see what I was responding to? It was a blatantly obvious flop. Those plays need to be taken out of the game.

And yes, I think intentional nutshots should also be punished severely.

On another note, it looks like the Cavs made the right decision between Garland and Sexton.

I was on the Pels should draft Garland bandwagon. Also took a bunch of shite from Pels fans for saying project big men like Hayes usually turn into busts.

By the way, I’ve said from the beginning Reggie Miller is the worst announcer in sports. Watching the clip of him being like, “yep Mitchell is the instigator all the way” was hilarious. He’s one of the main reasons I just started muting my tv when I watch sports.

You really believe it would have turned out the same? Garland was awful his rookie year. If he went to NO, he would have been stuck behind Ball and Holiday, so it could have potentially been worse. Who knows what happens after that. Situations matter to player development. It does not take much to ruin a player..
