You forget most of Tulanes alumni do not live in New Orleans. The Liberty Bowl was in Memphis, there were alot of Tulane fans from New Orleans that went up probably around 20k, another 10k national alumni that flew in that weren't flying in for home games against Navy, Houston, Louisville etc. I was there, I have no reason to lie, i've been at Tulane home games where you could count 878ppl in the stands. Liberty Bowl there were 30,000 Tulane fans there, we were 11-0 and it was a once in a lifetime event for whatever Tulane fans and alumni are out there. BYU had about 3-5k there tops.
