a majority of them are over paid, but the Cap is getting bigger, and teams have to spend to the floor.
so they literally have to give asinine contracts to mediocre/average players so they can hit the cap floor.
With the cap going up, more shite players will get asinine contracts who are UFA next season.
Not saying dude is mediocre, but that many mediocre to average players are getting big deals.

Mike has looked great so far as he did all preseason. New space in the offense might do wonders for him. He was absurdly efficient in the preseason.
