This is why hardcore NASCAR fans like me are turning away from the sport in droves. Jimmie Johnson is more dominant in this sport than Tiger is at golf and Tony Stewart had one one of the most miraculous comebacks in sports history last year, but the networks ignore them because they're too busy sucking up to Junior Nation and the Danica Patrick Sideshow.

Tony Stewart is only going to up his exposure putting Danica in one of his cars next year. He's going to need it to pay for all the cars she is gonna wreck. Either she sells a ton of merch or go daddy throws in a TON of money...one or the other HAS to make it worthwhile, and I'm betting it's the latter. Sure she's decent to look at but hardly any real NASCAR fan that will spend money on the sport likes her...even the female NASCAR fans I know say she has no business out there.

Your stats reference mentions during the race. Of course the leaders are going to come out ahead. Factor in everything (pre race, post race, news coverage and stories) and you get a much different picture.
You can't even watch Fox NASCAR coverage, between D.W.'s "JUNEBUG'S GONNA DO IT THIS WEEK!" prediction every week to the crowd noise they pump in every time he takes the lead. I'm surprised they don't start pumping in boos when he loses the lead.
And ESPN's NASCAR race coverage is bought and paid for by goDaddy. Yep. No conflict of interest there.

She finished ahead of all Penske and Ganassi drivers.

Danica is full time nationwide this year and its out of it by like 4+ races, in terms of points. She sucks. I can't wait to see her come full time next year and have to qualify on time every week, even after the first five races. Last race I went to was the 600 and she couldn't even pit correctly. It was hilarious.
