Is it affected? A clipper team without Leonard going deep and if doc loses at home to a fair Atlanta team, does it change anything about his legacy? Or is it prettt much just 08 Celtic title and mediocre after? Philly should be going to finals

He’s already got so many awful moments like this in resume, I don’t see what another one would do

Yeah that’s how I see it

A loss today would be like peeing in a clogged port o John on the last day of Mardi Gras

I would be sad to miss out on the Bud vs Doc coaching matchup in the next round, though

It might finally align his legacy with reality

No one wants to talk about this... But Doc Rivers coaching actually started going downhill when Thibs left his staff in 2010.

I don’t think that’s a controversial opinion

His teams are always in contention and were within a clearly rigged Game 7 in 2010 of having 2 titles on his resume, as a Pels fan I’d want him

That’s fine and dandy but he is the king of blowing double digit leads in the 4th quarter of playoff games…..

Thibs is at home watching Doc once again take another team further in the playoffs than his own. Downhill my arse…Doc’s a good coach! Would love him for the Pelicans!

I don’t like Doc as a coach. Winning a chip with KG, Pierce, and Allen has clouded judgment for many, but not me.

Doc Rivers legacy is fine imo having already won a chip in Boston. In LA he did his best, but the team failed him not the other way around. Paul George played like garbage in the playoffs under him, had he played like he's playing this season things may have been different. Before Leonard and George his so-called "Lob City" team with DeAngelo Jordan and Blake Griffin playing with CP3 was just a showtime team imo. Jordan and Griffin weren't going to win you a championship. Just give you a lot of highlight reels for dunks, and that frustrated Chris Paul who left in pursuit of a title.

But that failure had nothing to do with Doc's coaching ability, you can only coach up Jordan and Griffin so damn much. He has done a great job everywhere he's been though imo, he's at Philly now and has them playing ball much more than any other coach they've had there before him. They believe in themselves this year, you saw the difference the way they played this season under him. But he's also coaching a team with a player (Ben Simmons) who is a handicap to the team because he can't shoot the damn ball, and that's crazy. Doc Rivers is a really good coach, but you can only coach a team up so much, they have to do the rest on the court themselves, he can't do it for them.

I doubt Doc would’ve made the playoffs with the Knicks roster this year.
