Not a chance if they are undefeated, now if you have 3 undefeated, the SOS could keep them out.

yea, FSU would get left out if there are 3 undefeateds, their schedule is super easy
but this is a dumb discussion, FSU aint goin undefeated

yeah, if i ever meet that OSU kicker I will kick him in the nuts

It would depend on who lost to whom and who the one loss team played out of confrence. I can only see Alabama because of it's marquee name and rich tradition garnering enough out of the south votes to make that leap

FSU will not go undefeated. However, if they did, it has nothing to do with them per say. Any respected Major AQ Conference undefeated would go in over a one loss SEC team.
Several years ago it would look like this: Any AQ Conference team would get in over. And a few more were close such as the MWC(with BYU, Utah, TCU ect) Would be 2 thirds of the way having that respect, a big East Champ would probably get in only because they are AQ, even though not a respected major AQ. And the WAC- think BSU- would get left out most likely vs a 1 loss SEC team. But all the other 5 respected(and ACC barely) AQ's, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-10, ACC, would all get in over a 1 loss SEC team if undefeated.
But now, with so many teams shuffling, the Big East has lost everybody, the WAC is hardly a Conference, and the MWC has lost everyone. Now only 5 Conferences are respected and any of the other 4, if undefeated would get in over any SEC undefeated- even a Bama...such as last year. Last year a Clemson, Wisky, Okie Lite, Stanford or even FSU- if any went undefeated last year would of played vs LSU and held Bama out... That's just the way it is. The SEC gets more votes to brake any ties for mutual one losses, but not enough to jump any AQ majors undefeated's...

I think a point you missed touching on was the names of the SEC vs non SEC schools in question
If it was say Alabama or if it was Arkansas... and if the non SEC teams in question were USC or Oklahoma State
You get more breaks if you have a name program that won it all in recent memory

Hell no. FSU is FSU...I don't care how crappy their schedule is they aren't Boise State.

frick Oklahoma State. I hope they lose everything they ever compete in ever again.
I guess they're sort of our anti-Pitt.

Yes, name will help with the same record, like Bama and OSU, but when OSU was undefeated and Bama had 1 loss, who was ranked higher? There is no way an undefeated FSU would be ranked behind a 1 loss SEC no matter who that 1 loss team is, period.

that kind of unequivocal statement is silly
FSU is a bigger name program than anyone other than Bama, LSU, and Florida

Yeah that's a good one, or Iowa State is our anti-Pitt

There's some kind of weird mojo in that whole thing. We hire Les from OSU because Saban leaves for the NFL. Then OSU doinks a FG costing themselves a shot a glory, screwing Les and opening the door for fricking Saban

Not really, like I said, when OSU was undefeated, they were ahead of Bama who's 1 loss was by 3 in OT to #1 LSU. Do you doubt that if OSU had finished undefeated that they would have been ahead of Bama? Fla State is a much bigger name. Hell in 2009 unbeaten Cincinnati and TCU were ranked ahead of 1 loss defending National Champs Florida.
Now an undefeated Wake Forest? Maybe a 1 loss big time SEC team (LSU, UF, AU, Bama, UT, UGA) would probably be ahead of them, but not FSU.

No way in hell. The SEC breaks ties when you have more than 2 undefeated teams (unless you are Auburn) or a bunch of 1 loss teams, but no 1 loss SEC team is going over a Big 5 undefeated team.

you are a butt hurt LSU fan, obviously born within a time frame that 2001-2007 was your formative years, so I will cut you a pass on that. Other than that, you're garbage and can burn in the 7th layer of hell for all I care.
Have a nice day

God Damn, Boise State's coach voted for a rematch last year. Why are people so stupid?
Posted on 2/28/12 at 12:07 am to 3rdandlong83
Last year the vote was Alabama or Oklahoma State
Had the choice been USC, Ohio State,Oklahoma, there would have been no rematch...duh

But you said Southern vote. Do you need me to quote it again? It explicitly said SOUTHERN. 2 damn syllables there. Say what you mean, or don't say it at all, brah.

Yes the only team the rest of the country sees outside of the SOUTH on a regular basis is Alabama , your problem with that statement of fact is ?
