Webster Jr. High (Minden) has an official school-affiliated baseball team. Saw them play Winnfield yesterday. Winnfield ' s team is not school-affiliated though. They're in a league with 7 or 8 other teams and play their games in Jonesboro

I know Holy Cross participates in the NOAL athletic program. My sister's kid pretty much plays every sport available. I'm not sure who they play against though.

I know some public schools have teams, as well as private schools.
Back when I was in middle school, and this was the early 90s, the NOLA catholic school I attended played in the CSAL - Catholic Schools Athletic League, which still exists to this day. Back then, and I believe still now, the sports for boys were flag football, basketball, and "indoorball" which is basically cabbageball played on concrete.
Anyways our school played in the CSAL for flag football and basketball. But we always played baseball, not that cabbageball stuff. So, there was a middle school baseball league we played in. About half the teams were other catholic schools - I remember playing Holy Cross and St. Matthew. We also played some private schools such as Arden Cahill, Newman, St. Martin's, and Stuart Hall.

We do rec or travel ball in Lafayette. Only options
Not true. I know schools in Lafayette that have softball and baseball but it is not officially a school team but to be in the league all kids that play for a team have to attend that school.
