Every single decade before the 90's West Monroe was the doormat of that district.

So let me amend that to say, "As recently as the late 80s/early 90s, Bastrop and West Monroe were the doormats in that district."

1. Barbe (8-2)- they have Anzan Jackson, Cutrera at QB and one potent offense. 2007 was supposed to be the Bucs year but they finished 4th in district and overall 6-4 regular season.

2. Sulphur (8-2)- Taj Jones and the Sulphur defense will lead this years Tor team. Defense will help Sulphur win the first few games until offense comes along. Tors may finish second behind the Bucs but they will once again BEAT BARBE!

3. STM - (8-2) The Cougars have depth and will be re-loading for another good run in 5A.

4. Acadiana (6-4) - Even in a rebuilding year for Acadiana, the Rams have Davidson as coach and a good reputation

5. Comeaux (5-5) - The Spartans are on the right track and will make playoffs in 08, but they have four other 5A Top 10 district foes ahead of them.

ive yet to see the guy strain when "maxing out" on power clean..he does more than most linemen
