You got some bad info

UHIGH can kick rocks. You can throw a rock and hit LSU from their campus and all their players go to bama/uga/a&m. Yeah you’ve had a few go to lsu but for that many not to is bullshite when you go to a LAB school under LSU
I’m not gonna blame a kid for spending 5-12 years in a campus for wanting to go somewhere else than the same campus when he has the opportunity.

I’m sure there are plenty of E.D. White alum who would be happy to throw money into a scholarship fund to increase the reach of the school. If you’re not doing that, you’re missing out.
And water down and ED White diploma? You start getting your priorities screwed up (high school athletic performance vs academic performance) you start to see your high school’s culture screwed up.

Water down a high school diploma? Lmao. Adding some diversity to the school won’t do that.
Screwing up the schools culture? More like showing students what the real world is like. Not everyone will look like you, act like you, and have the same religion as you.

It’s been my experience (went to a Catholic school that didn’t recruit when I went there and now recruits) that these athletic recruits aren’t held to the same standards behavior wise or academically.
My former school now selectively enforces the visible tattoo policy, earring policy, and has a disciplinarian pressuring teachers to change grades so these scholarship recipients can play football.
It’s not about what color skin the kid has, it’s if you hold them to the same standards. Most places don’t, and it’s bullshite.

Is ED White not thought of as an athletic school? I looked at the lhsaa website and saw they won one of the state volleyball divisions, track and field, swimming this year and lost in finals of football. They also won one of the soccers or lost in the finals. Seems like they must put an emphasis on athletics there as well.

Small school with the split makes it a lot easier.

Volleyball, CC, and swimming are powerhouses at EDW. Baseball usually competes at a high level as well.
Football hasn't made the state championship since the 80s and soccer has recently been able to put a few runs together.
Do with that what you will.
(Also they have a state championship in quiz bowl, fwiw.)

A strong administration would help that. I have no problem with a school choosing to not do outreach and recruit.
But I do have a problem when E.D. White’s coach says this after the game, unprompted. A clear shot at U High, who has every right to recruit and bring in whoever they want as a select school competing in a select division.

And what we attempt to do is take those kids and mold them and put them through some torturous situations to see how they’re going to react. But we’re never going to do it differently. Because I’m not going to sacrifice my program. And I’m not going to sacrifice my integrity.

How many kids on UHighs team were truly “recruited”?
I understand there was an issue a few years ago with the lawyer and his son QB, but I was told that tapered off after and that Catholic High became the big recruiter in town…and with that, came their recruiting violations and penalties.
I understand UHigh has some college prospects on the team, but I was told most are the kids of LSU employees or former LSU athletes who may get some preference in getting a spot at UH. Is that not right? Or did a large number of their players transfer in for high school only after being “recruited”?

Want some facts genius, if not, too bad here they come.I know students/kids currently at ED White. Nothing on Uhigh, but they won’t be working for “as u say” Uhigh kids some day Unless it’s a coincidence that their future boss is a Uhigh grad.and I emphasize coincidence would be the only scenario. It’s fools like u that should have a one way ticket to a remote island reserved for only fellow fools that would seem to run on your intellect level?? Then y’all can all marinate in each other’s misery forever with no return ticket?? Just the fact that u went to that idiotic mindset for no legit reason proves u to be the bottom feeder infectious scum that’s everything wrong with our world today.
I don’t have a dog in this fight but wooo boy, you mad mad.

No clue. EDW coach wants it to seem like the entire team was in his comments post game. But that’s not true.

I’m sure it is because of Orgeron that those kids went there there is a Bordelon building being built at Newman.
Not completely accurate. True about the building, (Bollinger, not Bordelon, but same family). But the Bordelons left ED White to go to Newman and play with Arch not because of O but because they knew Arch would get them the national spotlight in a way that ED White couldn’t. That’s not a secret. Never understood why Bo wasn’t required to sit out a year. Blatant illegal transfer under every scenario.

Ahh here we go again… let’s run through the list:
Right or wrong, Christian Harris and Tim Williams were not “takes” by LSU. The only U-High players with committable offers in the last few years were Nick Brossette, Garrett Brumfield, Dylan Moses, and Jaquelin Roy. 3 of those guys committed, and the one that did not (Moses) left U-High for IMG his final year. The idea that U-High players are anti LSU is just wrong.
