Even Jordan in his prime couldn't carry this Cavs team to the Finals like LeBron has.
I'm willing to bet he could, East is weak bruh you can't deny that and back in Jordan's day it was a lot harder than it is now.
Out of all the Finals Lebron has been to...how many times did he face a good/great team in the ECF?
2012 Boston and 07 Detroit are the only ones that come to mind. Maybe the Magic in 09. I don't hate Lebron by any means, but he's had an easier time getting there than Jordan did.

Has Lebron?????? BTW I never said MJ did...............

Then by definition he wasnt 6-0 in his career
By definition...MJ WAS 6-0 when he did make the finals... You are getting creamed in this thread trying so hard to Make Bron better than MJ....When it comes to the Finals....You have ZERO chance when debating MJ vs. Bron....

I'm not going to read this entire thread (27 pages).
I have seen both players play. In just my own opinion, Michael Jordan was by far the superior player.
Any talk of Jordan missing a string of consecutive championship runs was negated by his mid-career retirement to go play baseball a few seasons. He got bored with the game. When he returned focused, the Bulls were dominant again.
Lebron is a very good player, but not Jordanesque. Plus, the level of competition is different. There were teams in the East during Jordan's run (the Celtics, the Pistons, the Magic) that I think would have beaten this Cavs team, before they would even have gotten to the finals.

MJ only beat one, the Pistons. So do Yall have facts or anything to back this up, or is this something that someone said once and peple have just run with it?

I think people are more turned off to Lebron's East due to the lack of superstar players he's had to face.
This year for example: only one of the 15 All NBA players was in his way, and that was Pau Gasol. Good player, but come on.
I mean who is the best player Lebron has ever had to face in the eastern conference playoffs? Older Garnett? Paul George? Pierce? Hobbled D. Rose?

Wooooooowwwwww. That was a politicians post
Hobbled D Rose? He face rose when Rose won the MVP. Older Garnet? Lebron was in the playoffs at the height of the Big 3. He also faced the Pistons a year after their dominant NBA championship

Cool. And MJ lost to one of the greatest teams ever in his second year, and then had to find a way to beat a team that won two (almost three) straight championships before he reached the Finals. Once he reached the Finals, no one could beat him again.
ETA -- And once he reached the Finals he had to beat a five-time champion.

Cool. MJ is awesome. And the best ever. I am only debunking "the East is soooo bad now Ermergawd!!!!!"

You are putting in work in this thread in my absence

Good point. Lebron never beat a dynasty team that had a five time champion player, a trio that had three championships, with a 5 time champion coach that many say may be the best of all time.

Say MJ is better, I agree. But I have pretty successfully debunked the "Lebron has it so much easier argument"

Don't forget Howard, when he was still playing at a high level.

I looked up information and posted factual analysis and data that shows the competition is almost the same. Yall have posted sentences and laughing emoticons without one grain of true data. You are the fanboy dealing with emotion. You will deny it, but it is the truth

lsupride = 27 years old.
Jordan's first championship, you were 3 years old
You got to about 10 years old in his last championship.
Proceeds to tell everyone how weak the East was based on numbers alone and because he says he has gone back and watched all of Jordan's playoffs.
ETA: You didn't say they were weak, you said the weak arse East now is as good as the East was then.

I never once said the east was weak. Stop letting emotion override your brain. I keep hearing how weak the East is compared to MJs era, so I decided to fact check. Well the fact is Mj's average east opponent was 50-32. Lebrons was 48-34. Lebron beat two championship teams in the east, the Celtics and the Pistons. MJ beat one, the Pistons. Now let's discuss the finals. MJs average finals opponent was 61-21. Lebrons was 60-22. So just as I suspected, the competition has stayed consistent, which is what one would expect over a period of time. So, please give me something to make me think otherwise

so o decided to fact check.
You can't fact check what everyone can see clearly with their own eyes. Especially people who watched both playoffs live and saw the entire seasons as well. Who besides yourself thinks the East is strong this year? The Cavs with basically 1 player ran through the playoffs. Yes, that means LBJ is awesome but it also means the other teams were weak as hell.
You can't seriously think the East is strong, can you?
