Back when I played it was just 1,2 and 3A. Some of the states best teams were 2A "private" schools that recruited like crazy. It made for some interesting battles between the privates and the huge public schools.

Clark Kellogg was Mr Basketball my senior year and I think he played for Cleveland St. Joes. In 2A Cathedral Latin has all kinds of recruited talent but ended up losing to the Barberton Magics for the state title.

haha dont care about wheeler. although the best high school basketball game i ever went to was my junior year when wheeler was down 2 against us and won on a buzzer beater 3. pretty fricking sweet.

dude I can't believe so many people threw shite at them when they were dog-piling. Looking back, that was pretty fricking classless.

a uhigh team with that talent being 21st was probably a little off.

`Garrett grew into the player he is today. He definitely worked for his career and made the most out of his potential but...

C Glen Davis - NBA
F Bridgewater - D1 talent in bball/ftball
F Anwar Johnson - D1 player/starter at Air force G Anthony Kimble - 4 year starter at RB for stanford/ NFL
G Garret Temple - NBA

Bench:
F/C Hall Davis - 5th round draft pick for the Rams in 2010
G Chad Johnson- d1 player at UNO

if you include the guys from the '02 championship team, this was the most talent basketball team in BR history.

The High School National Championship is definelty not an accurate thing. However, St. Mary's played alot of legit competition that year such as Mater Dei, Oak Hill, Westchester, Chicago Julian.

Although not feasible, it would be kind of a cool thing to see the "Top 16" teams in the country play some kind of Championship and have ESPN televise it.
