Would replacing Jackson with New Orleans be for the best? Of course it would. Even if a New Orleans team brought in 3500 a night. That would be average for the league, and it could grow with a new stadium, and the city of New Orleans brings a ton of untapped potential with a move.
On the other hand, the Southern League got a little crazy a few years ago when they had a team outside of Raleigh NC. Having a strict footprint(no team west of Miss?) helps keep this in tact, but it also gives little options when it comes to relocation since there isnt any worthy cities in Mississippi, Tennessee, or Alabama(Mobile just failed) and northern Florida is desolate unless you consider Tallahassee.
