People don’t watch games. They do the same thing with Trae, when in reality, the Hawks have played about 10 games with a healthy roster and with a bunch of rookies and second year players at that.

People just don't get it. Trae is literally a top 5 offensive player in the entire NBA as a sophomore. The dude has a VERY real shot at a 30/10 season at 21 y/o

Michael Jordan wasn't on a winning team until they drafted Pippen. Didn't work out like you thought it would.

Michael Jordan only played 2 full seasons before pippin (he was injured for all but 18 games in his 2nd season), and I’m fairly certain the made the playoffs in one of those.

Booker has been in the league for 5 years now. Pretty bad comparison.

Michael Jordan made the playoffs his first 3 years with 38 wins, 32 wins and 40 wins.

Joke man! Look at his efficiency.. 27 7 and 6! Ayton missed 25 games.. close to the 8th seed

We need some consistency in what’s rewarded in the selection process. D book should be a perennial all star, but he isn’t based on winning. But the guys that’s winning not getting in either lol. So is it numbers, or winning, or name recognition?

they just need to have more guys some yrs.

some times have 11 players make it. some times have 13. know what I mean? no reason to have same roster numbers every year.

but guess what? boomers can't think critically

Well he plays for an extremely irrelevant franchise. You only get respect in the NBA if you have a lot of fans and you’re on a popular team.

Trae Young is starting in the AS game and I dont know if there is a less relevant franchise in major American pro sports than the ATL Hawks.

You’re going to be biased because he’s your guy. I’ve watched Booker plenty. Never been a fan of his overall game and he’s severely overrated by fans (some mention him as a top 20 guy which is laughable) and he would never be the #1 on a title contender.

Trae is one of the worst defensive players in the league. He’s a very good player but big time inflated stats because of how shitty that team is

You LeBron fans pretend like Pippen was some runaway Rookie of the Year when in reality he was no DWade leading his franchise to a 7 game series win as a rook.

Who are you replacing? Westbrook maybe, but they are a winning team. Mitchell? Popular opinion here would be Book over Mitchell because of name, but Mitchell is in the same tier of player as Booker and his team wins. CP3? Carrying OKC to the 6-7th seed.

Luka? frick no. Harden? absolutely not. Lillard? nope.

Bradley Beal is better than Booker, and he didn’t make it in the East. Booker should
Be an all star but it came down to who would you take out. They should expand the all star roster size to 15.

Trae’s defense is not why the Hawks lose games.

How many Hawks games do you watch in a year? The Hawks are 5-5 over their last 10 games. This is the first time they’ve had most of their players and they still don’t have them all. They beat Philly last night without both of their centers and Trae put up 39 and 18.

He is objectively a top 20 guy this year. That's not really debatable. If you go off box score stats, advanced stats, or your eyeballs, he's undeniably been one of the 20 best players in the NBA this year.

And once again, you saying you've watched plenty of Devin Booker is just not true if you're honest. You'd have to seek them out on League Pass, or you're watching them when the play the Pels, which means you have seen him torch your team on multiple occasions.

That depends. Am I going off advanced stats? If so, I'm removing Russ or Donovan Mitchell. If I'm going off pure box score stats, CP3 can leave. The Suns are barely out of the 8 seed, and Ayton missed 25 games. They're not a great team, but acting like they're as bad as previous Suns teams is hilarious. They'd be at at least 25 wins without the Ayton suspension.

No they are better with baynes healthy and playing big minutes. Ayton not a winning player.

Even if you want to argue that, Ayton being out means Cheick Diallo and Frank Kaminsky get a chunk of minutes. I can tell you Ayton is a better player than those two, B.

Might want to do some research before pulling statistics out of this air

I do use league pass. And I’ve seen Jrue clamp Booker numerous times while y’all lose to us. He can get his points because they never or rarely ever win. Like that 70 point game, most overrated shite I’ve ever seen. Got their arse whipped and has vanilla defense allowing him to score, the efficiency was nothing special either. Booker has what, 1 win ever against the Pels when Holiday plays?

Objectively top 20 if you only look at stats but there are easily 20 players I’d take ahead of him. I care about more than stats, though. If stats are the deciding factor Trae is one of the 10 best players in the league.
