re: Derrick Rose is not just the MVP

Considering that Rose missed his 2 best teammates for a combined 53 games, what he has done his more impressive than what any other individual player has done this year. He's not the best player in the NBA, but when you look beyond just the stat lines and PERs and all that other bullshite, the guy has had the best season of any player in the NBA. He has literally been the most valuable player to a team this year and that's why he deserves to be the MVP and whether or not the media agrees, it won't matter to me. The guy will be the 2010-2011 MVP as far as I am concerned.

A couple of things in general to add to this thread...
If I'm not mistaken, Drose has a career low FG% and a career high turnover ratio. Again, Tom Thibodeaux is getting no credit at all for having Chicago as the best rebounding and defensive efficiency squad in the NBA.
Also, wouldn't the most valuable player be the one who adds the most wins to a team's total? If only there was a way to track that. If only

Dirk or Howard should be MVP.
ETA: But I understand why Rose will win it. Just hyping the next great young player.

so who's your MVP, shel?
Lebron
Howard
Dirk
In that order. Rose is my second favorite player to watch so I am definitely no hater. But he has no business even touching that top 3.
And lebron is entering that territory that MJ did where everyone knew he was the best and could win the MVP every year but they'd look for reasons to give it to anyone else. That's what's going on here.

i thought about chiming in but this shite is just too retarded to give validity to by acknowledging it
now rose may be the mvp bc he means the most to his individual team, but he is far, far from being as good overall as LBJ is

That and the fact that his team is first place in the East despite missing Boozer for over a month and then Noah for over two months. It's more than just media hype. He's not the runaway favorite or anything, but it wouldn't be a travesty if he won it this season.

this is the biggest thing in his favor and why he should get it over LBJ

I would actually do this in reverse order. CP3 is not the best pg in the league, at least he hasn't played like it in a while.

I agree that this is the reason why he'll win it but I certainly disagree with the logic behind it.
Thibodeaux gets no credit here.

thib is a good coach and should be in the running for coach of the year
but rose put that team on his back for a few months and he should be rewarded for that

The best rebounding and deficiency in the NBA were just as much the reason for winning in that same few month span.

He'll get credit when he wins coach of the year.
Rose deserves to be in the mention for MVP. No denying that. I just think, for whatever reason, he's a player that people love to hate. Maybe it's his attitude, I don't know. But some people don't like Rose already.
He's definitely in the top 3 or 4 for MVP consideration, yet there are people claiming he's not in the top 6 or 7, saying "he's not even close."
I don't get it. Should he win MVP? Eh, maybe. Maybe not. But either way, he's really good. I'd probably have him 3rd. But nowadays, it's all about your teams record or improvement. In terms of that, he's the leading candidate.

how much NBA basketball have you watched this season? 15 minutes?
Probably 30 real minutes, 12-15 game minutes.

You do realize they were without their two big men and best rebounders for a combined 53 games and didn't miss a beat right? LBJ is a great player and all, but he doesn't belong in the MVP discussion at all. Rose is the clear favorite followed by Nowitzki/Howard. Everyone else can see that yet for some reason you are still dickriding LBJ.
