Maybe you dont know that he admits he stopped following sports, and stopped caring, and only tries to have fun now.
Dan doesnt really know shite now. Like I said, he still thought Orgreon was the Ole Miss coach. He never really knows much about shite when they talk actual sports on his show.

He could be all knowing on sports or know nothing about sports, and it doesn't change his credibility for what LeBatard said in the OP.

I personally dont think Dan has any pulse on the Miami sports scene anymore
He hates the Dolphins and they hate him, so he rarely talks about them in terms of inside info, probably doesn't have much.
Marlins, probably not connected like the Heat, but he's very connected.

I enjoy Dans show, but I do not hold his opinions on things as highly as you do.
I think he said what he did for drama

Yikes

Jeter wasn't half the shortstop A-Rod was.
So that's why A-Rod went to 3rd when he got to NY. Got it
Please man. Yankees fan or not, denying Jeter is retarded.

Jeter was below average defensively. The numbers and everything is out there.

Jeter wasn't half the shortstop A-Rod was. Alex also earned $150 million more than Jeets

The Yankees were never going to move Jeter. It didn't matter who came in as a SS. Jeter was/still is the face of the Yankees for 20 years.
A-Rod was significantly better defensively that Jeter. Jeter's greatest asset as a player was clutch postseason hitting.

I'm not trying to imply anything. Rodriguez' numbers were definitely better, but they are faker than a Kardashian. He's a disgrace to baseball.
Everything Jeter ever did, he did it right. Always graceful and humble, always clutch.
ETA: since numbers matter, no one has played more games (2,747), had more hits (3,465) or stolen more bases (358) in a Yankees uniform than Jeter.

LOL at you thinking this somehow proves that Jeter was a better defensive shortstop than ARod. Teams do things that are suboptimal to keep their stars happy all the freaking time.

MLB fans should be fricking grateful for the steroid era. It saved baseball. Sportswriter know it, owners know it, players know it and even realistic fans know it.
Mantle, Ruth, Gehrig and other greats would have used them if they were prevalent back then too. From the late 60-80's players were all using greenies. All doped up on amphetamines for better performance.
A-Rod was villified for his $252M contract with the Rangers. Then struggled in the postseason with the Yankees.

I can't tell you you're wrong, but since we're speculating, Jeter would have far surpassed Rodriguez statistically if he had decided to be a classless cheater too.
