i can. takes him a while to get his feet moving and then he may have the same traffic problems as dialed in. also, go back and watch the ark derby. i know he galloped out past a my horse, but watch when they make their moves. court asks and arch speeds off, meanwhile nakatani started working at the smae time and it took a while to get that explosion. that can be a traffic problem.

i know he's a grass horse, but my longshot pick is brilliant speed

yeah i see what you're saying aspy. two things going against Nehro, IMO are his relatively inexperienced jockey and his last couple of works at CD which have not been very impressive.

i noticed this too in the LA Derby. seems to take a few seconds to get going and it's always when he's already pointed for home, never really on the turn. you have to be able to pull of a good move at the top of the stretch, not sure if nakatani or Nehro is up for that.

and he's more of a stalker than i realized. won't sit way back like Dialed In and a couple others. if he's 10+ lengths off the pace at the far turn he might be in trouble.

yeah, i just rewatched the la derby. he had to be ridden really hard to get up to the leaders, then had to be killed with the whip to make that last lunge.

so i guess this leaves shackleford
