Mets lose 1-0. This is one of the great tragedies of our time. Degrom has almost no chance of ever getting to 200 wins because of how awful the Mets offense has performed for him his entire career.

Wins is a pretty antiquated stat to apply to an individual instead of a team.

If only they had a solid hitter like Francisco Lindor on their team...

188 CS. Only 72 career wins with a career 2.55 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and and over 1400Ks in 1200IP.

Mets should be stripped of DeGrom and given to a team that appreciates pitching by scoring.

Send him to a good team like the Astros. We have a great offense to support him unlike the Mets.

I disagree with this WIN thing... today’s pitchers are pampered compare to like 30 years ago. The managers are scared and if a guy goes out and throws 5 innings of shutout base ball the managers pull him... it’s frocking stupid.... they have a 5 man rotation, back in the day you had a 4 man rotation and most would at least 7 innings if they were on their game...... I dare ANY manager to go out in the 6th inning with Jack Morris throwing a shutout and wants to take him out of the game..... now Degrom is on a different level than all most ALL pitchers in the league... an amazing talent... BUT if you have a lineup that just can’t manufacture runs it’s gonna be this way.

What’s the medium number of runs support he gets per start? It’s gotta be sub 3, right? Or do they end up scoring a lot in the 8th and 9th?

What a colossal waste of talent.

Imagine what the Braves could do with this guy.
