Dirty fricks. And Williams is an idiot for saying it publicly. Now even if they pat him on the back late they'll tack 15 yards. The refsdont live in Greece, you know.
And this will only give guys like Freeney and Mathis more fire to hit Brees harder.

I read the fricking link. Absolutely stupid on Williams' part. Good luck blitzing Manning btw.

Oh, so you lack reading comprehension skills, then.
That's fine, I guess.

I agree with this. What good comes of stating this publicly before the Super Bowl? Do you actually think we're going to intimidate Manning?
It's going to make the refs much more prone to flag us on 50/50 hits. Stupid.

Meh. It's common knowledge that we're going to come after him at times. No big deal.
It's not as if they Colts can't watch game film or anything.

You lack common knowledge. Every team that plays the Colts try to knock Manning out of the game, they just dont say it publicly, and especially not in such an important game. I dont see any good that can come out of this.
1- He will look like an idiot if Manning torches his D.
2- If they do knock him out of the game, the media will be all over this, and there will forever be an asterick on the championship, especially if he does get knocked out of the game on an unlawful hit.
3- This will get the Colts fired up.
4- The refs will call penalties on stuff that they would have normally let go because most probably the league will warn the officials about it.
Edit: and if Drew Brees would get knocked out, there'll be no sympathy for the Saints. The average NFL fan would say they got a taste of their own medicine.

This is a stupid arguement. If you read or watch a few of his press conferences, you get a real quick read on how Gregg operates: he calls it like it is. He's not cocky or an arse, he just says what he feels, no real emotion about it.
And by the way, Gregg's just saying what every other NFL defensive coordinator does and thinks: get the ball, hit the QB, make him skitish so he makes mistakes.
Last, every hit except one or two from the past two games were legal. The ball was either about to be released, or was, literally, JUST released when the hit came. There's nothing dirty about it. Blame the offensive line for not blocking. long enough.

He never even said he hoped Manning would get KOed. fricking idiot put that in his mouth. He even opened the statement by saying "The only thing you'd like for me to say," as in "You're trying to bait me into giving locker room material."
Florio sucks balls.

i dont think manning needs any help/mercy from the saints....it is more like manning needs to be asked to not run up the score against the saints...he could demoralize them straight back into the aints era if he wanted
