I can see some argument that in the end, he's really trapping the ball on the ground there. But, I'm not even sure that's why they disallowed it. Part of the problem here is that in slow enough motion on replay, the ball is almost always moving a little bit in a guy's hand.

Yeah no one is really able to explain the catch rules, seems that the NFL isn't even consistent about it.

I'm not saying I agree with the call, but this is not an equivalent scenario. This call had to do with maintaining possession while going to the ground on a catch. That is not an issue when someone dives for the edge of the endzone after having already established themselves with the ball.

Completing the catch to the ground overrules breaking the plane. Calvin Johnson caught the ball in the damn endzone for his famous incompletion. Don't be calling anyone a dumbass buddy.

thats one of the worst things about replay. the super slow motion makes everything look 5x worse than it actually is

I absolutely am. Tired of being screwed by the NFL and the Patriots. But it does not matter. Had two more chances and Ben screwed up. Moving on.
