IT

ENDS

TONIGHT!

IN VERLANDER I TRUST. Anonymous source says Kate promised good sexins with a 10th W in the blue and orange, has deprived him since game. 2.

If the Astros are up 5-2 in the 8th and Verlander is at 110 pitches, do you bring in McCullers even though he’s supposed to start game 7?

100% yes

We have to be all in to win tonight, especially if we are working with a lead. While I like the fact that we face Yu in game 7, we can't let this get past tonight with Verlander.

He threw another 39 in Game 5. I would rather not use him and then he would be available for Game 7 then put him out there when he might be ineffective and take him off the table.

That's definitely a valid approach.

What's going to suck is when Hinch has to make a decision on pinch hitting for Verlander in a runners-on situation after 6 or 7 when he's still going strong. Hopefully they avoid putting him in those spots.

This is it guys. Gonna need 110% from each one of us in order to pull this off.

All the pressure is on LA to stay alive. We have all the momentum. We have the best hitting team in baseball. We have the best playoff pitcher on the hill tonight.

Time to close this out.

I could see Morton coming in to finish for JV if needed. That way you could go LJM, Peacock (extra day), and DK for 7.

We need Verlander to give us 7 full minimum of 2-3 run ball. If we go into tomorrow with LMJ vs Yu, I think it becomes a slug fest and favor the Dodgers at home.

It's gonna be 40 degrees cooler tonight than games 1 and 2. The ball should stay in the park a lot more.

Has Morton come out of the pen this year? The reason I like McCullers is he has the experience of being in a huge game as the closer within the last 2 weeks.

I think if you pitch McCullers tonight, Morton can go on 3 days and hopefully give you 4, then you can go to Peacock, Keuchel and maybe even back to McCullers depending on how many pitches he throws.

That's probably how I would do it, but I wouldn't let Giles get anywhere near the mound

No.

He has one relief appearance in his career, back as a rookie in 2008.

I agree with that also. I only mentioned Morton in that scenario to keep LMJ as the starter for 7. The main thing is to get Peacock another day of rest and have him for 7, with LMJ and Morton having some history of shorter starts (plus the added pressure). It depends on who you trust to give you 1-2 out of the pen vs needing the other to make a game 7 road start.

The more I think about it, I think I do like the LMJ in relief and Morton to start 7 in that scenario.

All this talk of Game 7. I understand, be prepared.

But I don't want a game 7. The Cubs fans can have the claim to the best World Series ever because of the incredible Game 7 last year.

I want a win tonight.

100% agree. Our chances drop significantly to win game 7 vs 6. Tonight is as close to a non-elimination must win as you can get from a circumstance standpoint with Verlander going and our flaming gas can pen.

We have to be all in for tonight

There just isn’t that much interesting to talk about with game 6. We know what needs to
Happen: verlander beast, score runs and then pop bottles.

We got like two decades until first pitch so we got to talk about something
