They can’t hit! Decent hitters come here and flounder.

I always enjoy the skew between the results oriented and the process oriented viewpoints.

But for Dana Brown to say it's an industry-wide issue when we set a league record is disingenuous
It is an industry-wide issue... and the Astros are leading the way in a negative manner and should fire their entire training staff.
Both can be true.
And the hitting went to dogshit completely in all facets.

Angels won't bring back Ron Washington or interim Ray Montgomery.

Bruce Bochy only has a couple WS under his belt is all.
I didn’t know about Bochy at the time I posted about Baldelli, but certainly he’d be great. I just wonder if he wants to continue to manage.

Indians pulled one from the Astros playbook just now
B9 2-1. Have 4 hits on the day. Only 1 left the infield
Leadoff batter reaches 3rd on a throwing by error. He’s the tying run. And then this:

Man that sucks so bad
I'm pulling for the Indians more than anyone else too
Their fans have been through more heartbreak for the longest time of any

As much as you all love to micro analyze every word and phrase and every move in the history of the organization, the bottom line is there was a record number of injuries. Highest number of injuries in history. And they were STILL on the verge of the playoffs.
Don’t over think it. I don’t think he needs to spell it out in a press conference
Go back to your other thread, Prom. Whatever it was.
Saying that after witnessing this team this year would be like saying Nuss just had a bad day vs Ole Miss
The Astros averaged one QAB per one time through the order for an entire season. Something like 3 QABs a game, and set records for free swinging and swinging at 1st pitches.
It wasn't like certain parks, certain pitchers, or because of a player's personal agenda. It was a consistent approach regardless of lineup or game situation.
The whole point of having a hitting coach, or in this case two of them, is to help the hitters prepare for the upcoming pitchers they face and to develop an approach that results in the best production for the team.
One of two things happened this year. Our hitting coaches didn't properly prepare our hitters or our hitters didn't follow their instructions. Either way, there needs to be change. We can't wholesale change the roster, so let's find someone that players will listen to and/or someone who is preparing them better.

Dana Brown on status of Joe Espada: "Joe is the manager and Joe is under contract."
One thing to remember is Dana says a lot of shite that he has to walk back.
Hopefully this is one of those times.
And this isn’t even exactly a glowing review.

Yankees down 2 runs with bases loaded and nobody out come away with nothing.
Today we've seen dumbass base running and sharting with the bases loaded. Even though the Astros didn't make it, its like were here in spirit.

The fact that several teams have announced coaching changes already and the Astros have done nothing is starting to concern me theyre just going to blame injuries and run it back with the same group of incapable retards.
Posted on 10/1/25 at 10:11 am to Lsuhoohoo
Hopefully, the delay is because they’re waiting on people whose teams are in the playoffs.

Nothing stopping them from firing Cintron and Snitker yesterday.
