I have this crazy thought, and I know it's nuts, but I wonder how they would if the roof was open at night. What's the point of being able to open if all you're gonna do is keep it open to grow grass and have fireworks shows?
When the players can put up runs in bunches, then they can have a say in if the roof is closed. Otherwise, pop the top except for Sunday afternoon games when it's brutally hot.
