So Brantley needs three days off in five?

It makes perfect sense for Mike to sit since he normally struggles against lefties.

What's that you say? Mike has 2 hits yesterday against a lefty? Also, Heasley is a righty? Oh okay.

GFY Dusty Baker.

They must be allowing for the grueling flight home this evening. Two hours of sitting is hard on the body.

Report was that Brantley has been dealing with leg soreness. Was mentioned yesterday or the day before in the Chronicle.

I just read the article…Dusty: ”the cold damp nights in Seattle didn’t help.” Also Dusty: “we try to keep him off turf.” Seattle, Oakland and KC are all grass fields. Oh boy.

Not to hijack the game thread, but since it’s pregame what the hell.

I saw your comments the other night regarding SEC scheduling on the sec rant and could not agree more. I would have replied in that thread but I have been arguing with those guys all week about it and they don’t get it. I just cannot understand the logic of being in a conference and seeing six of your fellow conferences foes twice in 12 years. So many people in that group are just fine with it and it blows my mind.

As mind-boggling as most of Dusty’s decisions.

It's like our hitters get on a hot steak, realize "oh frick I'm hitting well" and then tank for about 2 or 3 weeks.

Altuve got up to a .293 average and he's all the way down to .264 in two weeks.

Yed got up to .280 on the Boston trip and fell below .245 before he started hitting in Oakland

Pena reached .299 and has tailed off down to .273

I've gone from sympathetically noting a change may need to be made to being ready to toss Yuli off the plane somewhere over Kansas.

These lazy morons love to let Sal Perez hurt them.

Maybe it's a trade audition.

Unlike Maldy, Perez is good at baseball batting.
