LOL

It's funny because Uconn alums I work with and are around do not want this at all.

They got who they wanted and are VERY Happy.

I dont think conference is AS big of a deal in CBB as it is in CFB.

URI's offer, per sources, was $2 million per year for seven years beginning in July 2019 with a commitment to build a basketball-only practice facility to be completed within the next two years, along with staff salary increases and ability to charter for all away games.

They'll get themselves a very nice rising star with that kind of offer.

You're right. Conference-wise this feels like it won't be that much different, but UCONN seems like another rebuild like he did with URI, then move on to another job in a few years.

Doubt it.

Kevin Ollie had no Business being there besides Calhoun was forced out and he was an assistant/alum.
He had no Northeast connections whatsover and was a TERRIBLE recruiter.

Hurley has very strong ties in the NY/NJ area (coached as very strong Prep School in NJ for years)

College basketball isn't like football, Give him 2 years and they're in the tourney.

Even with the shite they've gone through Uconn still has a very large name/appeal up here, just wasnt the right man recruiting them.

Not sure how the finances go, but could Uconn go down to 1AA in Football?

So they can move their basketball team into the Big East.

(from my talks with Alums, majority would do it in a heartbeat)

Unless the ACC took em (which probably won't happen)
