I just don't think Lacy will be the same.....sorry that hurts your feelings.

I think Julio is a beast, isn't he a Gump?

He won't be the same as when he was fat?

That's a good thing.

How long will the LAP-Band surgery keep him out of practices?

A little fat shaming goes a long way. Maybe it can be McCarthey's turn to lose weight.

That's not really up for debate by anyone. He's a top 10-15 player in the league, even the most biased Bama haters realize they can't argue Julio is a beast.

Lacy was great as a rookie, he even had his moments playing at Jabba the Hut weight. Some people are naturals at running a football, Lacy is one of them

He's optimizing his chances, that's for sure.
Give him credit for hearing the feedback.

What a brave man you are, recognizing that Julio Jones is good at football.

Did nobody watch him last season? The skill and vision and "magic" that Lacy were still there. He was just banged up, slow, and fat as hell. The only thing that kept him from averaging 4.5+ ypc was he wasn't quick enough to get past many people in the second level.

The allure of multiple millions of guaranteed dollars should be enough to get anyone to trim down. Especially when that's your only job.

Sensitive bunch

Lacy will not replicate that Rookie season. So, IMO, he won't be the same.

I've seen him run the football before you 3 knew who he was....so, it's ok if I have the opinion.

The rookie season where he averaged 4.1ypc, the exact same ypc he had this past season where he was extremely overweight and dealing with nagging injuries? He won't replicate that season? Ok...

If he comes into camp in great shape, and it looks like he is, and can stay healthy, he will have his best season of his career so far.

Sensitive? You justified not hating Lacy by saying Julio was good I don't think you dislike Lacy or anything, but that's ridiculous. You might even be right. It's not like Lacy is a lock to tear up the NFL next year.

IMO, if he's healthy and fit, he has a good chance to. Like some of us have said, even at the size of a walrus, he still had his moments last year. There really isn't a reason to think he'll be average. Dude has "it."

Well he did better his sophomore year statistically so he already has. He avg. 4.6 YPC, 10.2 YPR, and 13 total TDs. And he still had 3 100 rushing games despite weighing 260 this last season. He can certainly get back on track.
