Hello 3-12, here we come.

Interesting though, BOTH KD and Russ could be back as early as the end of the week.

Really hope they don't rush KD back too early. It would absolutely blow to see him have any long term issues with this injury.

Even splitting against Utah and NYK, that would put them at 4-13.

They'd have to go 46-19 in the West to get to 50 wins.

Just out of curiosity, who, in your opinions, is currently the better overall player: Dwight Howard or Anthony Davis?

AD. The Brow has arguably been the best player in the NBA so far this season.

I think Davis is better than Howard, but Howard is still really good at basketball. The Rockets have been very average without him.

I didn't say he isn't. AD is just absurdly talented.

exactly what i've been saying for a few weeks now. that's a large mountain to climb and assumes no more injuries and both players coming back at near 100% right away.

Agreed. Davis is REALLY good. Unfortunately, I don't think he will do much in New Orleans in terms of team accomplishments. One thing I hate about the NBA is that small town teams are at a huge disadvantage. The Spurs are an anomaly.

They really aren't though. Grizz, Thunder, and Pacers have all been very successful in recent seasons.

They all got talent before becoming playoff teams. The Pelicans are already in no man's land where they can't get a high draft pick, and they won't be able to bring in top free agents. Davis is hurting the Pels by being so good so quickly. He clearly needs more talent around him, but he has elevated the team a ton alone.

Has New Orleans ever brought in a top free agent? Nope. Even Houston struggled, and it's a much bigger market than New Orleans.

Grizzlies are where they are at without any of this.
