Sounds like its all but confirmed from Nashville sports radio. The second baseman is sick and has been sent home. Our closer and #2 starter are in protocol.
Someone on reddit started a similar thread about it two days ago, but its weird it took so long to get out.
If we lose I guess you can add NC State's season to the list of Covid fatalities

Yea, if its all true it sucks but isnt super terrible. Jarrett being out really hurts the defense mainly, he is our 9 hole hitter, granted he has been playing pretty well lately and has had some clutch hits. We really only play the same 9 guys, so i dont even know much about who can come off the bench.
If Justice is in protocol, hopefully he could be back by Monday if we can win, but that is a big hit for the bullpen.
Highfill wouldnt need to be pitching til next tuesday at earliest probably anyway. It also sounds like he isnt confirmed yet.
Either way, the team will need to do what it typically does, get a lot of hits from 1-8 to win
