Whats Lee's contract like? Wouldn't we have to give up someone, so to say Posey/Peja/Peterson, to make the trade work?

If we could trade Collison + one of those bums for Lee, I'd dance in the streets.

Most definitely. Paul is supposedly Lebron's best friend in the NBA

Lebron to the Hornets is more realistic than CP3 for David Lee. FACT

Let me preface what I'm about to say by mentioning CP3 is my favorite player in the league.

With that said, CP3 has been banged up badly the last two seasons, and isn't doing anything to help himself by playing yet another summer with Team USA. There are no guarantees with torn ligaments in the knees, and as someone who relies on his wheels so much, you have to worry about the possibility he won't be able to return to form, or at least stay healthy for multiple full seasons + playoff runs.

Our biggest two needs right now are 1) Big that can score, rebound, and play D; 2) SF that play D and slash.

This trade would take care of #1.

We can take care of #2 in the draft.

Hate to say it, but it's true.

Yeah, I don't think you can have West and Lee on the same team.

You deal West for a decent 3, put Lee at the 4, leave Okafor at the 5, and draft Cole Aldrich.

You'd have to try to move Okafor because of his contract. The sign and trade means we'd be paying Lee a lot of money.

Lee and Okafor would still be a really small frontcourt.

Aaron Gray is a 7 footer that we can bring off the bench that is decent enough in his role.

I'm pretty sure I heard Chouest say that when he takes over, which will apparently be soon, he's going to make sure CP stays in a Hornets uniform. Chouest isn't going to let something that stupid happen to not only his team, but his HOMEteam.

Knicks sign Lebron and Joe Johnson and trade them along with Lee to the Hornets at the trade deadline for Paul, Okafor, and Stojackovic.

Just as likely as this rumor.

you don't trade the best pg to come into the league in a generation because you're scared.

Unless you know him personally, you didn't. The guy hasn't given an interview since he was announced as minority owner like 2-3 years ago. Someone with the Times Pic reported this but who knows how true it is, how serious he is about it if true, whether CP's decision to play summer ball may have changed any plans, etc.

I'm really interested in what we could get for Collison. I think the Lakers would be really interested in him.

Why would his decision to play summer ball affect if he stays or goes?

We are, but the Hornets wouldn't get Bynum under any circumstance with Collison as the centerpiece. I'm assuming that's what you were alluding to
