Could Vegas, the Casino Companies and Betting Apps get involved?

I have to imagine far more people bet on Michigan than on Western Michigan. So the fraudulent "extra play" probably cost the casino companies and betting apps millions of dollars.
Considering so many of the media companies partner will the betting apps and casino companies, they would have significant sway.
It's sad that Western Michigan probably doesn't have the clout to really challenge this. But if all these schools and the Big Ten and SEC care about is money, then hit them where it hurts, in the pocket book.
I guarantee if the major sportsbooks and betting apps sued and won a significant decision, it would cut down on this BS manipulation of games and protection of certain teams.

Western Michigan covered the spread.
The payout for Michigan winning straight up was likely very low and discouraged action.

A plaintiff’s attorney could try to round up anybody be who bet the WMU money line pregame. It won’t be many, and was probably a throw away bet, but if they can form a class and sue, shite could get messy

Just charge the replay official with a felony and have time spend 10 years in jail.
