I don't think he necessarily took credit for it, but he absolutely used it in recruiting players over the last couple years.

I understand Herman saying "Zeke was not Zeke before I got there, but then he became a top 5 back with my help." That's a little different than plastering his name and face onto a Texas recruiting photo when he went to Ohio State. Most kids know Zeke went to OSU, but maybe a lot of kids wont know that in 3-5 years, when Zeke is only known as a Cowboy (or maybe not known at all by then)

He's right.

Herman is just trying to shift the blame by moving the goal posts.

The dearth of talent at Texas myth is bullshite.

Penn State won the Big10 with shite recruiting classes and went to the Rose Bowl.

2013 - 33rd
2014 - 18th
2015 - 13th

2016 - Big10 Champs and Rose Bowl

Texas had two Top 10 classes and one Top 15 and that's Herman's juniors.

He left Florida because despite all he did for them, the money men wanted him to ditch the spread and use a traditional pocket passer. Hence shafting cam Newtown and taking on John Brantley.

Perhaps he didn't like Herman trashing the team his friend Charlie Strong built. It's well known strong was undermined by red McCombs before they had so much as a practice. Now Herman is essentially trashing Strong's work? Can't see that sitting well with Meyer.

Him and his wife were both cheating on each other and they wanted to get away from it all to try to save the marriage.

If that's the case then Meyer is a little too sensitive. Herman didn't single out the players, his quote was a realistic indictment of the entire program, himself included.

Ohio State had a Satellite camp in Houston this summer. Herman and the Texas staff weren't on the list. Herman and the Texas staff showed up for the camp.

Herman poked the bear. frick Herman. He's getting what he deserves. Put your fricking TVs in your locker room and try to kill yourself with a sledgehammer Herman. You had one magical three game run where everything you called worked.

So since Bama beat him with a pocket passer those idiots panicked and wanted him to completely change his offensive style? Ain't buying it

Yes I am. I'm also aware that when Urban brought Florida into Tuscaloosa in 2010 he lost 31-6. When he brought Florida into Tuscaloosa in 2005, he lost 31-3. 2009 was his last chance with Tebow and Alabama dismantled them by 19. 2011, that talented Florida defense he's bragging about gave up 38 to Alabama and lost by four touchdowns. I'm aware this was Boom's first year but Urban had his reasons for leaving aside from the excuse of "more time with my family."

Urban knew the road to the title was much easier at Ohio State. So heart pains, a year at ESPN and he's the head coach at OSU.

Why are Bama fans so insecure about Urban Meyer? Saban has been successful. Just because Meyer is on an even better career trend than Saban doesn't mean Saban won't be considered one of the best college football coaches of all-time.

He wanted Cam Newton. The $$ guys wanted Brantley because he's a 4th generation Gator and his relatives are boosters. So yeah, he was forced to take someone who was the exact opposite of what he wanted to do

Exactly. They'll go down as two of the 5 best ever and both will be alongside Bryant

My man, the original talking point only had to do with the conferences when he left. Of course the BIG is better now. But that's is irrelevant to him leaving.
