Serious question....why does everyone assume the man didn't literally have a health scare that ended up not being heart related. I know a guy who had esophageal spasms and he thought (along with the doctors in the ER) that it was a heart issue. It was a wake up call for him to get in better shape and manage stress better and maybe that's what happened to Urban.

These unsubstantiated rumors passed off as fact (faking to run away, affairs, etc) are a little ridiculous. If urban wanted out he could've left without quitting UF. If urban had an affair, he could join the long line of other coaches who have and kept coaching.

Yes I am. I'm also aware that when Urban brought Florida into Tuscaloosa in 2010 he lost 31-6. When he brought Florida into Tuscaloosa in 2005, he lost 31-3. 2009 was his last chance with Tebow and Alabama dismantled them by 19. 2011,
Why did you skip 2008?

Yeah, two of Urban's titles in the last 10 years have gone right through Saban's Bama teams.

That crimson ego just can't have anything happening in the world of college football that doesn't involve them.

I hear this all the time but it's complete nonsense. When Urban quit, Tressels job at OSU was as secure as a coach can be. No one thought the OSU job would be opening up anytime soon.

Urban is only 53 with 3 national titles already, two of them going right through the arse of Nick Saban.

Calling him a pussy or scared is hilarious to me

Interesting that he'd take a shot at Herman like that.

I could understand Muschamp since he followed Meyer at Florida, but Herman coached under him. Wonder if there's a bit of bad blood there.

Maybe he's just salty that everybody keeps saying Ohio State hasn't been the same since Herman left.

Do you not remember what transpired after the 2009 season?

urban is pissed and jealous because herman rightfully gets all the credit for osu's title in 2014. their offense has been on the decline since herman left.

he also put up Zeke Elliott and Braxton Miller on a Texas recruiting poster, saying they had been developed by their coaches.

2 tiny scat backs are supposed to run a pro style offense? It was Timothy Tebow who was the inside run threat at UF. These dudes did the sweep

To be fair that 08 team was the best Urban's ever had. Saban was in his second year and talent wise his team had no business outplaying Florida for 3 in a half quarters. Urban never beat Saban again while at Florida.

His Ohio State team was the better team in 14 though. Although this board acts like Bama lost buy four touchdowns but in reality it was only one.
