4th and 1. Runs the play clock all the way down. Wastes a timeout he needs. Only to put his best player, who has rushed for 188 yards, on the sidelines. Puts in a 3rd string running back who is cold and proceeds to throw it to him with a quarterback who has struggled all night.

To his credit, play worked.
Players didn’t execute.
Throw was short, dude dropped ball.

Colts offense was anemic all night. Didn’t convert a legit first down on third down (run by Taylor appeared short, but no review).

That throw is on qb
It was a terrible throw
Behind him no touch on ball

Taylor got banged up in game but I bet he still could have got you a yard

How about end of game
Takes a safety instead of punting and then ends up having to punt from a less advantageous position

I think that is what he was getting at. Why not put the players in that will give you the best chance to execute

The burning of the timeout was what got me. Even if you don’t get the one yard you still have 3 timeouts left and can get the ball back with over 40 seconds left.

With Taylor in the game, there would def be attention on him wherever he went.
Maybe he figured 3rd string back would go unnoticed?

The Colts gave that game away. Terrible coaching to end that drive.

Honestly Texans still had 3 Timeouts and would have needed to go about 45 yards after kickoff to get in FG range even with no timeouts. Game was far from over if Colts had scored a TD. BTW... a first down isn't a TD either.

No guarantee they even score a TD.

I didn't think the throw was that bad. It looked like he was having to work it around the offensive lineman blocking the defender. I guess he could have lofted it over them.
