but bama was one drive away from embarassing themselves in front of the whole viewing audience
in which they raped and pillaged the texas o-line, got a sack and forced a fumble...?
so bama was one drive away from embarrassing themselves until they rose up and stopped them?
I said it earlier and no one cared to respond:
Gilbert presents a different threat than McCoy.
Just as Texas is trying to regroup with a freshman, Bama is trying to regroup against a QB who provides an entirely different look.
Couple that with the fact that they played on cruise control for most of the 3rd quarter and entirely conservative on offense and Texas got back into it... mostly on 2 big plays...
ETA: If this was LSU you guys would be talking about how shitty JJ played and had he played better we could have won...

Lester is generally wrong, but I agree with him on this. Our beloved Crimson Tide defense was not exposed. What... Texas averaged less than 4 yards per play and had like 275 total yards... defense scores a TD and forces 5 turnovers (inflated by a few irrelevant TO's at end, but still). hardly exposed.

Bama got up and ran the ball the rest of the night. McElroy threw like 12 passes all night.
No, McElroy attempted 22 passes, and got sacked 4 times, and had to escape the pocket 7 others. We all saw there was no way he was gonna be successful throwing the ball.

regardless, that has nothing to do with Bama's D being exposed and everything to do with why the game became close after TX scored those 2 TDS

5 Turnovers
DEF TD
only gave up 2 drives of over 36 yards ALL NIGHT
EXPOSED!!!!!!
you're being an over dramatic fig as usual. Not sure what game u watched.
its pretty clear we are talking about the second half fig. its only been stated like 5 times, but its cool, continue to spout off first half stats

That's pretty good, but they're playing a gimmick offense totally based on one rag armed QB so i expected them to dominate.

you talkin about the two picks under 2 minutes left when the game was ALREADY OVER
Darius's INT ended up being the difference in the game dude.
and the 2 picks at the end still count, TX was still trying to win

LOL, WTF
raped and pillaged the oline? the sack came from a blitzing lb in which nobody touched him, bc the qb didnt call out the protection. he never saw him

well yeah, thats pretty much what we are saying
had gilbert played better (mccoy), then texas wins. that was pretty clear

It has everything to do with it. As Texas scored, it became obvious that the Bama O couldn't move the ball. Texas was conceding a little success on the ground, to otherwise terrorize GMac in the passing game. They kep their safeties back, and GMac looked like a deer in headlights the whole game.
That being said, the D couldn't stop the Texas O that couldn't run the ball from scoring two TDs through the air. It's not like Texas was out there gouging them on the ground. The yardage they got was almost entirely a true freshman QB. That is unacceptable given the fact of how that offense works.

Why?
because 1 was a good pass and run and the 2nd was a blown coverage
that means they are exposed???
frick dude, i expected better from you. Exposed?
you're looking at their 2 TDs but fail to realize what they did ALL frickING NIGHT. Dominated

Bama was constantly putting Texas in 3rd and 10, and then giving up a big play. They couldn't get to the QB, and the freshman was looking as good back there as if he would have played against Kansas, or any other shite arse secondary.

sure it did, 30 minutes earlier. just bc it was the game winning score doesnt mean it was the game changing play.

oh come on. it was a ten point game with 2 minutes left. the game was over. those were stat padding ints, and that only

175 total yards of offense from a freshman qb in one half, making his first ever meaningful collegiate passes.
thats not good man

giving up 175 yards and two tds to a freshman qb in one half is not fricking dominating
