Guys yall are taking up for Colt but ignoring the facts.........don't you find it a little wierd that someone with such a severe injury was never touched after he came out the locker room? With his pads on?

we are ignoring the facts?
try this on for size:

Guys ya'll are trashing Colt but ignoring the facts.........don't you find it a little wierd that you are criticizing someone with an injury that was X-rayed and looked at for 40 mins by a team of doctors who were valiantly trying to find a way to get him on the field? That he was never touched after he came out the locker room because it was a pinched nerve injury that will only heal with time. And in some bizarre display of leadership he chose to put his pads back on knowing he was not going to be cleared to play.
two sides to every story you know?

Pinched nerve is your diagnosis.......that was never clarified by anyone.......Colt described that injury but I will again reiterate that a pinched nerve has been played with before.

man you are shitting it up in two threads, impressive
You say we are ignoring the facts and that you are a medical care provider sitting here and speculating. Here is the fact that we know, he said he couldnt feel his arm. In your rotations when the patient tells you their symptoms and you don't believe them do you call them a liar?

there is no reasoning with this guy
so your speculating about the injury is "reasoning?"
okay buddy

you believe everything people tell you??
he was clearly trying to protect his draft stock.

Not at all.......I treat the symptoms.......which obviously wasn't the case with Colt.
And I'm not calling Colt a liar.......I'm just saying he isn't tough.

so assuming McCoy was not lying and he suffered a stinger in his shoulder with temporary numbness that would require what immediate treatment to get him on the field?
what do you know from Nursing School that the doctors putting their hands on him didn't know?

First off SUPA......we don't know what the doctors said to Colt, we don't even have a diagnosis..........we just know that Colt didn't play........
So quit trying to posterize me as some smartass who is trying to sound like I know more than his medical team.
All I'm saying is that if he indeed did have a pinched nerve.......PINCHED IS THE KEY.......this means it's tempory and likely a result of blood accumulating around the nerve and blocking it's signaling......hence the numbness..........This is neither life threatening nor deadly but a mere fricking inconvience to the patient..........TIME will heal it. Thats all I'm saying.
Colt could have had something far worse though; and If one day it comes out that he did I will eat crow.
But from the replays and the hit a bruise seems likely. Agree?
Cool? Cool.

which was a decision that came from McCoy, the doctor, his father and Brown

that is exactly what you have been doing in two threads

you said we were ignoring the facts but the facts they presented to us seemed to indicate a stinger.
So I dont know much about it and I look up stinger on the internets and lo and behold:
quote:

SYMPTOMS
The injury is to the nerve supply of the upper limb, either at the neck or shoulder. In most cases, the injuries are temporary and symptoms resolve quickly.
A burning or electric shock sensation is often felt.
The arm may feel numb immediately following the injury, and weakness is common.
The symptoms most commonly occur in one arm only.
Symptoms usually last seconds to minutes, but in 5 percent to 10 percent of cases, they can last hours, days, or even longer.
which amazingly enough sounds exactly like what McCoy told us he felt in the arm.
quote:
Colt could have had something far worse though; and If one day it comes out that he did I will eat crow.
if he had WEAKNESS in the arm he doesn't need anything "worse" to not be able to compete and they felt like a healthy Gilbert with no experience was a better option than an injured McCoy
quote:
Cool?
cool

Strong point, but the doctors never gave any indication to this..........all we know his Colt said he couldn't feel his arm and he didn't play.

What questioning his toughness?

Yup.........

That weakness can be overcome with amazing drugs buddy. Choice of the patient.
Cool.

Oh and if you investigate pinched nerves further you will read this:
Did Colt McCoy say his pain was unbearable? Debilitating?
Colt was inconvienced and uncomfortable........I feel this much.
He made his decision.........I just feel their are many types of leaders and some display certain traits and I never considered Colt McCoy to be tough........thats my opinion.
quote:
In severe cases of pinched shoulder nerves, the pain may be unbearable and even debilitating. If pain symptoms do not subside within a few days, patients should contact a physician. The doctor may prescribe stronger pain medications and perhaps suggest physical therapy or massage to strengthen and lengthen the shoulder muscles. Surgery is a last resort.

maybe he didnt want to get exposed by BAMA's defense which could lower his stock.
bamas defense got exposed by a green freshman and was lucky as frick to hold one for the W, so no, i dont think colt was scared

is this going to be his legacy?
Yep, which I suppose is better than the Chris Simms legacy of being a loser.
He'll go down as the second best QB in school history...the one who "almost got there."
Sucks.

He has no legacy nationally. A weakling QB who put up inflated stats in a flag football conference. Big deal.
