How does the 2001 SEC championship not get mentioned, when it gave us this classic.

"I'd like to know how could the president know so little about Watergate in 1973 and so much about college football in 1969?" Penn State was undefeated for two years in a row and finished #2 in 1969, even #3 behind 9-0-1 USC the year before. Texas beat #9 Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl 21-17. Penn State beat #4 Missouri 10-3 in the Orange Bowl. But the President had already spoken

1969 Penn State would have ROLLED either Texas or Arkansas. That team was loaded on both sides of the ball.

1999 Penn State - Minnesota. PSU was 9-0, ranked #2 with big road wins against Miami and Drew Breese led Purdue.

Penn State is nursing a 23-21 lead late and decide to punt from the Gophers 35 vs attempting a long FG. Punt is a touchback.

Minnesota has a 4th and 16 from around the PSU 40. The QB throws a lame duck, the ball is batted around a couple of times, and somehow a Minnesota player scoops the ball right before it hits the turf. Minnesota kicks the FG to win as time expires.

I’ve never heard the Beav so quiet. After about 20 seconds, someone yells F@%@ really loud.

Next week, PSU loses again after blowing a 10 point 4thQ lead to Michigan led by some scrub named Tom Brady.

PSU then has losing seasons 4 times out of the next 5 years including a 24-0 loss to Toledo and the infamous 6-4 loss to Iowa where the PSU scores were where the Iowa punter intentionally took a safety to prevent a long return.

Yet Pedo St declined to play either team in the Cotton Bowl when they had the chance.

I'll add Arizona State's loss against Ohio State in the 97 rose bowl. Cost them a national title

Yeah that burned for the PAC along with UCLA. Ohio State was choking away national titles all through the 90s and they decide to show-up and ruin Jake "the Snake" ASU feel good story on a fricking last minute drive after the Snake scrambled for the seeming National Title td win a few seconds before.
