Was the biggest College Football fan for decades, but then the Bama phenomenon started here recently and saw the writing on the wall.

Too many pockets would be lined and Saban wasn't leaving.

Bama is bigger than USC ever was with Carroll nationally. Everywhere I look, even in my neck of the woods in Monroe, AL, I see Bama shite. It is apparent that no one is willing to look behind the curtain at Bama as they eventually did with USC. Josh Rosen came out his senior season and was very vocal about how shady Bama was compared to other schools. No one listened, but I did.

I don't watch any football except LSU and before I watched it all day. Teams marred in scandal or just lack of any talent. The talent spread so thin except for a handful of schools (in which LSU is one I admit) makes for boring football.

Last night I saw a glorified running back playing quarterback for Moo St that couldn't complete a forward pass unless it was to the other team. Unreal. I'll watch high school ball and see the same.

Then that hit last night and the short review of what was an obvious non-targeting penalty was the "Finish Him" for me with collegiate football.

It is a sham. Like college basketball and it seems collegiate sports is sick to the core--just like politics. It needs to be uprooted and replanted with new faces and new paradigm.

Just how I see it plenty will agree and disagree together. Not meant as a debate but just my opinion on what I've seen over the course of the last decade, slowly.

college football is the best football to watch. The raw emotion. The fans. The atmospheres. How can you not love it?

I only watch to see teams lose now. Who the hell wants to watch the same teams beat the shite out of everyone every week and year.

When only around 10 teams have a legit shot at winning the whole thing, it's a problem. And 10 is being generous

I still enjoy it in spurts. But, it does feel like there are 3-5 loaded teams, then everyone else.

Things like Purdue beating OSU keep it interesting. Also, there has been a bit of what Yahoo described as a "rise of the middle class" with schools like Oregon, Wisconsin, and Michigan State challenging the big boys that is good for the sport. They just haven't been able to fully break through and probably won't ever consistently contend for it all.

we are a far cry away from the fun of 2007 and that year was full of mediocre squads imho

the fact that you know in advance with almost 95% certainty who is gonna win every single year ruins the fun of being a fan in a lot of ways
