Sure I guess there were probably some better aspects of it back in the day. But if you’re an LSU fan how can you not say last year was the legit peak of your college football fan experience

Maybe it was just my age at the time (middle/high school with literally nothing better to do than watch football all day every Saturday), but I agree that that was the golden era of college football. Also seemed to have parity other than the Bama/Clemson show and I kinda miss the importance of going undefeated in the BCS era, even if some teams including Georgia got royally fricked.

One of my favorite videos as well. I watch it often.

i didn't say it wasn't fun now, but the talent is so much more concentrated now. hopefully something changes in the 2020s.

Is it though? It just seems that way with 3 conferences protecting their only contenders to ensure they make it to the playoffs. The Left Coast conference has clearly been left behind and the playoffs have made the former BCS bowls into participation trophies and the bowls after that an afterthought.

It really is all about coaching. Since the early 2010s the narrative was that the Big 10 had been left behind bc the SEC had a dominant streak of title wins. Since that time they've added Urbs/Day, Harbaugh, Franklin, and PJ Fleck.

The PAC 12 needs USCw football to be good because Oregon alone can't carry the banner for the conference. Washington, Stanford, and Utah and have been solid programs but limitations exist that prevent them from being annual contenders. UCLA has tier 2 potential but have been a coaching dumpster fire.

Urbs to USCw needs to happen yesterday.

They'll reach out to Bob Stoops first. Regardless, Helton will survive another year.
