So the system failed when Alabama arse raped LSU in the National Championship in 2011? Was that not the two best teams?
those were the two best teams. saban bent les over

They got out played by Alabama, plain and simple.
Eye test tells you ND was not the 2nd best team. All you had to do was watch

Who was then? Who would've beat Alabama, I'm very curious

If Winston was to leave today, they'd still beat Duke, and I think they would beat Ohio State
I would take that osu bet all day.

The question is, if OSU and Auburn lose, do they put Bama in over Mizzou? That would the biggest pile of shite
3rd place finisher over the SEC Champ?
For a conference that cares so much about their conference - SEC this, SEC that - it would be pathetically hilarious.
Yeah...SEC is a gauntlet, SEC Champ has proved and deserves to play in the champ game every year...except if you're a Big12 newbie...and not named Bama.
So much for conferences mattering. Might as well all go independent.

maybe osu was but bowl ban, no one was going to beat bama with a month to game plan

Did cowherd say what he knows yet?

so you believe fsu is just as good with out jw?
and bama would be as good as they are without saban?
are the bulls the same team without their best player?
C'mon man
Good Lord, man...
You're logic is so flawed.
Nobody is saying that they would be the same TEAM, but you can't keep a TEAM out of that kind of game when the TEAM has done everything the TEAM needed to do to get there. The TEAM should have the chance to prove themselves with, or without, the "star" player.

Had some work stuff so been tuning in and out, but I don't think he has.

just saying they are not the best TEAM without their "star" player or "star" coach

Irrelevant.
If they beat Duke, they would be undefeated and created the best regular season record of all the team's in the Top 25.
Subjective prognostications on how they would play in the BCSNG w/o Winston has no bearing on earning the trip to the game...only bearing on whether they win or not.

We're talking about one game, not an entire season. They only have to be good for an hour.

I have just been saying what I think or how I would rank teams. Look at the vegas cfb rankings, i fall much more inline with those rankings

cowherd is trolling everyone

I agree, a 13-0 FSU with/without Winston should be in the game. No doubt about it.
But, if this were next year, would the playoff committee punish FSU if Winston gets charged? Probably not, but would they be a top 4 team with a brand new quarterback? Well, maybe/maybe not, but I see TheBeard's point.

Who had two losses. Which brings the point, do records even matter anymore? And I am not saying I do not disagree with that. But Georgia would not have been one of the 4 playoff teams last year.
