I don't think it was a choke, it was a rookie mistake, tried to go around the lap traffic in the corner where the high side put you in the wall. Experienced driver throttles down and keeps it on track

this was a choke job, no pressure, last turn, and hit the wall. Jesus I doubt the rookie won't live that down for a long time, he will see highlights of this on Indy 500 for years to come.

Even if he had throttled down there I'm not sure he wouldn't have hit the wall, outside of turn 4 has no grip today at all. once he went around that car that high he was done.
