Clearly never actually been to town with a post like this.

It's one of the smaller stadiums in MLB (from a capacity standpoint) so you can generally get a good view of the game. It's a nice downtown stadium, but not really noteworthy. The food/concession options are/were pretty bland compared to other MLB stadiums I've been to. But I guess that fits given Ohio/Cleveland aren't really known for their culinary delights. The fans were nice.
It's worth going to a game, but it's not a really memorable experience. I've been to 12 MLB parks. Cleveland is probably in the bottom half. [San Diego is No.1 for me on that list. Great park. Good food. Great weather. And a very engaged crowd/atmosphere]

I’ve been several times. It’s underrated, because it’s Cleveland, but it’s very similar to Baltimore and Coors. Constructed at the beginning of the retro boom, and it had a recent renovation. I mean, it’s not PNC or Oracle in SF, but it’s pretty solid. Some good bars within a very short walk also. They have their own little monument park in center field. Despite not winning a recent title, they have a great baseball history, and probably do “moneyball” now better than Oakland ever did.

Spiders and Naps
They weren't the Spiders. The Spiders were a National League team that got contracted.
The AL team was the Indians, Naps, Blues, and Bronchos. Before that they were the Grand Rapids Rustlers.

You can also watch an inning at field level from the old bullpens. 15 people are admitted for one inning, then switched out. Not sure how you feel about waiting in line.
Definitely suggest this. I went over around the 7th and there was no line. It’s a unique view for a game, and you get it for free.

Back in 2001 I was in Cleveland for a 2 week project. My wife flew up the middle weekend and we went to "The Jake" to catch a game. It happened to be inter-league week so the Indians were playing the Reds. We sat in the left field bleachers about 6 rows up next to some college boys from Cincinnati. We bought them some beers and vice versa. Every inning Ken Griffey was in the outfield they would yell his name. I figured they were fans. Seventh inning rolls around and while yelling his name he finally turns around. All three dudes in unison yell "You suuuuck". I died laughing.
Anyway, it is a great ballpark and we had a lot of fun.

Cedar Point is an hour and a half or so west, but if your kids are into roller coasters, I second this. It's the best roller coaster park in the country by a mile.
