Cleveland and Boston engaged in active trade discussions centered on Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas, league sources tell The Vertical.

Dying to know who or what this all involves besides IT4. Do not want to overpay Cavs.

That would be a huge pickup for the Celtics. Thomas has been playing above his head for the most part.

Lol at the cavs if this happens and IT is the centerpiece. If that happens LeBron shouldn't even show up for the year

Thomas only makes 6-7 mill Kyrie makes 18-19

So who else is getting involved.

Jaylen / Tatum plus the premium picks should be an non starter for DA.

WOWOW

I said this should be the move Boston makes a while back but never thought Cleveland would entertain the idea

Do it.

Kyrie isn't capable of taking a team any farther than IT is.

I think crowder would have to be thrown in there and a pick. Kyrie is better and younger than IT and will be cost controlled for next two years. Isiah Thomas is going to command a super max I believe. Gotta get something for him.

If they don't want to absolutely torpedo their future they don't really have a choice and Boston has the most assets

Would be a pretty even trade depending on pieces

If you are the cavs you want young players and futures because the cavs have neither. We all know that ainge doesn't move those. Unless something has changed, I don't get why the cavs would trade kyrie for IT and bledsoe/Crowder

IT can't get a super max. Kyrie is younger and better than Thomas but not enough to sacrifice a serious asset for him. The difference between the two isn't a potential top 5 pick in a loaded draft class
