Feel free to add others if you'd like.

Im not necessarily a fan of any of these teams, but I do find myself pulling for one team typically in these rivalries. (My answers in bold at bottom)

Yankees - Red Sox
Alabama - Auburn
Michigan - Ohio State
Lakers - Celtics
Duke - North Carolina

Yankees, Auburn, Michigan, Lakers, N.Carolina

Whichever is best for LSU.
The underdog, or whichever is best for LSU.
No real dog in the Lakers/Celtics... Lakers when they had Shaq though.
Don't really care about Duke/UNC.

* Used to be a big fan of the showtime Lakers in the 80s. Haven't really liked them since, so I don't cheer for the Celtics or the Lakers anymore.

Red Sox and Celtics are the only ones I can answer. The others depend on how each others teams are doing at the time.

Red Sox: "Rooting for the Yankees to win is like rooting for Brad Pitt to get laid." -Rick Reilly

Auburn: "Alabama accusing Auburn of cheating is like Snooki calling Halle Berry ugly." -Charles Barkley

Michigan: "THE Ohio State University" -Every Obnoxious Ohio State Fan

Celtics: "It doesn't matter who scores the points, it's who can get the ball to the scorer." -Larry Bird

Neutral b/w Duke and UNC, depending on the year

Meteors. Lots and lots of meteors.

I'm an O's fan, the Sox and Yanks can suck a gas pipe.

I'm an LSU fan, so I hate Auburn and Bama.

Michigan and tOSU are haughty Big Ten teams who spend their lives telling we Southerners how stupid and corrupt we are. Screw them.

I hate the Lakers, but not as much as I hate the celtics. In the 80s, I rooted for the Sixers.

I grew up in Maryland, so there's no chance in hell I'm rooting for any team from Carolina. Well, maybe Wake.

These aren't my rivalries. I hope they all lose.

ETA -- My dad was in the Army. He taught me to root for Navy. Besides, the Naval Academy was about 20 miles from where I grew up. Home games there were awesome.

Neither, Pro-baseball as a whole really isn't my thing.

Alabama - Auburn

Used to be AU, but after the recent AU-SC clashes it has shifted to Bama I think. In the end though watching the "Roll Tide / War Eagle" movie when they were showing both fan bases repeat those cheers my thought is simply. frick them both.

Michigan - Ohio State

Michigan, not logical reason. Just do.

quote:

Lakers - Celtics

Celtics. Don't really care for the NBA at all but for the sake of the Celts having 3 SC natives on their team.

quote:

Duke - North Carolina

Duke because as a Gamecock fan, I speak for many when I say frick UNC.
