Chris Schenkel voiced (at the end) the infamous "Daisy" attack ad for President Lyndon Johnson during the 1964 election.

I watched Joe Garogiola (sp?) a lot from the game of the week
He also had a game show, had a live (I guess) outtake on one day where he said "Oh Jesus Christ Mother Mary Goddammit" or something like that, cause my single digit aged self to have the Buckwheat face.

This thread reminds me of an Episode of American Sportsman when one of the personalities asked Cale Yarborough (NASCAR driver) if he "shoots to Cale" while on a big game safari.
IIRC the host was Curt Gowdy

For me, it was Joe Garagiola and Tony Kubek doing the Saturday baseball game of the week.
and Harry Kalas doing Notre Dame football games that played on Sunday mornings in the early days of ESPN.
and Keith Jackson and Frank Broyles calling college football games.
Bob Trumpy Don Criqui doing NFL games.
and the one and only Howard Cosell in all sports.

Hayward Hale Broon(msp) was a classic World Series reporter I remember and the guy that used to do CBS NFL football games, mostly the Green Bay Packers when it was on around here. Before the Saints. Had a great voice. All the above mentioned are hall of famers too. Went to the baseball all star game at the dome in the late 60's and my mom and dad rode up to the bar atop the hotel we were staying at with Pee Wee and Don Drysdale.

Ray Scott was the guy with the great voice that did the Packer games.

It was 47 games and he also had another 31 game win streak.

Yes, Ray Scott. Great voice was very underrated imo. Thanks.

I forgot to add Charlie Jones on my NBC NFL and Bowl game list.

Don Criqui doing the final seconds of the 1970 Saints - Lions game, including Dempsey's kick... LINK
Criqui doing the original Miracle at the Meadowlands. He mentions Dempsey's kick at the end. LINK
Criqui doing the 1984 Citrus Bowl where UGA's Kevin Butler attempts a 71 yard FG...and he mentions Dempsey's kick again. LINK
