We've known this.

That video doesn't prove it, though.

Just like Lebron needed Wade, Harden needs a dude like Paul. He keeps him honest. James has all of the talent in the world but CP3 is the dog that the Rockets needed.

Wade is alpha as hell and had to give Lebron the team because it was so clear that Lebron needed to be the leader. It was just natural.

The exact opposite happened with Harden. CP3 has slowly just taken the team from him

CP3 literally plays keep away from the guy in tough spots

The NBA is nearly unwatchable now.

on multiple occasions now in the playoffs, the rockets 2nd half/4th quarter runs have come with paul carrying the team on the floor while harden sits on the bench. i cant think of a situation where the opposite has been true, definitely not in the last 2 rounds. and definitely dont recall those situations happening with wade and james in miami.

so if by "needing" you mean harden literally needs paul to carry what is supposedly his team to wins in the playoffs while he sits on the bench and watches, then yes harden needs paul.

Yeah but eventually Lebron became both the dog and the guy with all the talent. Haven't seen Harden take that step yet and don't think the even has the personality to ever be the dog.

Not even close to an accurate comparison.
