So in addition to an assault, we have two Hawks players getting arrested for refusing to leave the scene?

But refusing to allow the cops to secure the scene? Were they associated with the stabber? I'm sure we'll learn more.

Honestly, the time is less relevant than people make it. These guys don't work a 9-5. You're basically talking about late shift work.

Or maybe they were friends with the people stabbed.

Right how hard is this to understand. These professional sports league treat it like a brother hood. From this article it seems like he wasn't fighting or even arguing with the attacker LINK

It's possible, maybe even probable, but you'd think Copeland's friends would want the cops to be able to conduct a proper investigation to catch the perp.

You don't truly believe NBA players are all buddies off the court, do you?

I get that, my question is why were two Hawks players in a club at 4am in NYC when they had a game in ATL last night? And you think that the Pacers org is thrilled with knowing their players are at a club at 4am the morning of a game?

ETA: And yes, i understand that ATL plays in Brooklyn tonight, but they got off the plane at midnight and went to the club? I mean shite man, at least go catch a nap before mid day shoot around.

If they were indeed friends with Copeland, they may have just went to hang for a couple of hours before he left town. The club closes at 4. They get to the hotel at 5 and get some sleep in. What time is shoot-around? If we're talking 2:00 or 3:00, that's enough time for a full 8 hours of sleep.

That's how a lot of NBA players roll. They sleep during the day and go out at night. If they didn't go out after games they'd never go out.

You gotta figure Indiana players don't get a chance to go to a NYC area club very often.

Plus Copeland isn't logging that many minutes anyway.
