It's been decades since I worked in a highrise in Chicago, but I remember the clear blue skies over our building, and look to the south south east towards Gary and the pollution from the mills left a gray=brown smear up in the air as if it were spray painted badly.
Those mills are gone or cleaned up, right?

You are literally wrong. Why take the toll road anyway, rarely is it less packed than 80/94. Save that $7.80 each-way toll just to cross a friggin bridge.
