Mattz was all over you in that thread too. He promised to haunt you when Bryant and Baez are sucking it up in two years (March 2017)

All this Cubs jizz makes me sick. I think they aren't any better at the ML level than they were at the beginning of last year. Swap Lester for Samardja and it's close to the same with a prospect or two. I know they got Fowler and Montero but this looks like a 73-78 win team. Prospects are just that until they do it in the show.

That is hilarious.

So, all Nike stuff is 25% off in the Cubs MLB.com Shop. Just thought I'd let y'all know...dri-fit swag is $23 a tee shirt if you're interested.

ETA: Still no Schwarber dri-fit shirts, tho. :(

Finally booked my flight for the LSU game in Wisconsin next month. Planning on catching the Thursday night game at Wrigley, then Labor Day in Milwaukee. It will be my first time to Milwaukee. Maybe I'll get to see the Cubs clinch the division while I'm there.

I will be flying in to Milwaukee Friday, staying in Appleton, but going to watch Cubs/Giants Sunday matinee.

I need to figure out my plans for Sunday. Was thinking about going to Six Flags, but the cubs game might be an option.

Soler sits tonight, Bryant to LF and Baez goes to 3B.

Albert Almora left the game in Iowa with a thumb injury today, but it's "just" a contusion and the I-Cubs have a day off tomorrow. That's good news and Almora will just give it a few days rest.

Some minor league pitcher for the Cubs named Luiz Esanio was smacked with a 144 game suspension after testing positive for a banned substance.

Also, here's something to make you feel really happy this evening:

Great job by Edwards getting out of the 8th inning jam. Hopefully nothing serious with strop.

His fielding ability is off the charts. Struggling at the plate of late though. Some bad looking at bats tonight. I'm surprised anyone ever throws him a strike...I don't think you really need to in order to get him out at this point.

Jason Hammel deserves a lot of credit. He is unbeaten in his last five, with a 1.16. It looked for a while like he would slink back to his usual self in the second half.
